Lazily I woke up
Wishing it was a holiday.
Grimness in my mood
Worsened by a throbbing head ache.
Bad way to start the day, I told myself.
Sleepily, I walked over to the window
To pull the blinds up & let the lights come down
What I saw there! Lo & Behold!!
Lush green lawns covered in white fluff,
All roof tops painted uniformly white,
The whole world seemed out of dreamland.
My excitement knew no limits,
My head ache did vanish!
As I gaped in awe
The blemish less white flakes
Drifted through the air softly.
It was surreal…
It was magical…
It was snowing!!!
PS: It was my first snow experience yesterday (02-Dec-2009) :-)
